WORCESTER – Paul F. Charbonneau, 79, passed away peacefully after a period of declining health on December 7, 2020.
He was born in Worcester on November 20, 1941, the only son of Leo and Belva (Letourneau) Charbonneau. He attended the former Ecole Saint-Nom-de-Jesus elementary school, graduating in 1956, and then graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School in 1960.
Paul joined the United States Air Force in 1963. He was then part of the Air Force Reserve during the 1980’s. Paul worked at several local cabinet making shops throughout his career.
Paul always had a sense of adventure and loved to ski, skydive, fly planes, and ride motorcycles. Being a cabinet maker by trade, he would later take up woodturning in his retirement and was a member of the Central New England Woodturners. Paul was a jack-of-all-trades and you could usually find him tinkering and building in his workshop. His favorite pastime though was being Bumpa to his grandson Kevin.
He leaves behind his former wife and caregiver, Nancy (Coomey) Charbonneau, his daughter Tracy, his grandson Kevin and his wife Jessica whom he considered a granddaughter, and his great-granddaughter, Charlotte; and nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents and three older sisters.
In keeping with Paul’s wishes, his family will have his services held privately at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Paul’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
The family has entrusted Miles Funeral Homes with the arrangements.
