Paul C. Bousquet

HOLDEN – Paul C. Bousquet, Sr., 83, of 8 Colonial Drive, died Monday, June 27, 2005 in Knollwood Nursing Center, Worcester after an illness.

His wife, Phyllis M. (Nadeau) Bousquet, died in 1990. He leaves five sons, Bruce P. Bousquet and his wife Lydia of Princeton, Richard C. Bousquet and his wife Nancy of Webster, Robert R. Bousquet and his wife Linda of Charlton, Paul C. Bousquet, Jr. of Spencer, David J. Bousquet and his friend Lisa of Leicester; two daughters, Suzanne M. Lamoureux and her husband Paul of Worcester and Denise P. Eressy and her husband William of Worcester; a brother, Gerald R. Bousquet of Worcester; a sister, Janice M. Pontbriand of Florida; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. A son, Edward F. Bousquet, died in 1990 and three brothers, Raymond, Ronald and Charles Bousquet, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester the son of Charles E. and Josephine E. (Dupuis) Bousquet and lived 32 years in Holden.

Mr. Bousquet graduated from South High School in Worcester and was a Worcester Police Officer for 10 years. He later owned and operated Bousquet Company, Inc., a newspaper advertising agency in Worcester, for 32 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. George’s Church, American Legion Post 341 in the Main South section of Worcester, the Rutland Sportsman’s Club, National Day Lillies Association, and the Massachusetts and New England Press Associations. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and served three tours of duty in the Pacific Asiatic Theater.

The funeral for Mr. Bousquet will be held on Friday, July 1, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, in the funeral home.
