HOLDEN – Paul Bernard Carolan, 58, died peacefully in his home on Friday, October 14, 2016. He was born in Worcester, the son of Frances C. (Konopka) Carolan and Bernard F. Carolan Jr. and grew up in Shrewsbury before moving to Holden over 20 years ago. Paul leaves his son, Nicholas Carolan; daughters, Maggie Carolan, Crystal Bates and Gloria Carolan; step son, Matthew Conway; his four beloved grandchildren, Adrianna, Jaxson, Layla and Liam; his brother, Michael Carolan, and his loving companion of over 15 years, Susan Hudson. He was predeceased by his sister, Catherine. Paul had a passion for cooking, fishing and above all family. He worked as a technician for Peterson Oil Co. in Worcester and as a chef at the Mountain Barn Restaurant in Princeton. Paul loved fishing at Plum Island and Salisbury Beach, and getting his family together for parties where he could share his joy for cooking with those he loved. Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Paul’s family to honor and celebrate his life from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
