STERLING - Paul Bergeron, 64, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 9, 2014 with his loving family at his side. Paul was born in Winooski, VT, son of Clemence (Gagnon) Bergeron and the late Raymond Bergeron.
Paul was a graduate of Rice Memorial High School in 1968 and the University of Vermont in 1972; a lieutenant in the US Army; followed by a 38-year career in hi-tech for Digital, Compaq and HP. Paul was a charter member of the St. Richards Knights of Columbus in Sterling and served proudly as an insurance agent for the organization. Paul was an active member of Saint Richard of Chichester Parish.
Paul leaves his beloved wife of 42 years, Gail (Tittemore) Bergeron; his four children, Brian of Brooklyn, NY, Amy and her husband, Kenneth Malo, Jr., of Sutton, Nicole and her husband, Luke Howrigan of East Fairfield, VT, and Michael and his wife, Heather of Clinton; his five brothers, Robert and his wife, Kathleen of Jericho, VT, Marcel and his wife, Linda of Kennewick, WA, Roger of Essex Junction, VT, Roland and his wife, Mary of Birmingham, AL, Claude and his wife, Bonnie of Thetford, VT; his three sisters, Diane and her husband, John Gaworecki of Essex Junction, VT, Lucille and her husband, Bruce Dupont and Claudette and her husband, Raymond Bouffard of Colchester, VT; his eight grandchildren, Justin, Jeffrey and Sarah Stafinski, Madison and Joseph Malo and Nolan, Grady and Finn Howrigan.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Paul’s family on Friday, June 13, from 4-7 p.m. at the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. His funeral will be held on Saturday, June 14, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. in Saint Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling. Burial with military honors will be held in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Cemetery, Winchendon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the St. Richards Knights of Columbus, Sterling MA 01564.
