Patrick M. Collins

October 27, 1957 — April 8, 2018

HOLDEN – Patrick M. Collins, 60, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 8, 2018 after an illness. He is survived by two sisters, Susan Connolly and her husband, Steven of Hubbardston and Kim Collins and her significant other, Walter Furtick of Worcester; his brother, Paul F. Collins, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Rutland; his longtime companion, Sharon Brouillette of Worcester; nieces, Aaliyah and Sandra Furtick, Jill Saucier, Erin and Katie McGrath; and nephews, Joseph Collins, Jonathan Connolly and Rashaun Furtick. Patrick was born in Worcester, the son of the late Paul F., Sr. and Theresa S. (Graves) Collins. He was a mechanical technician at Industrial Cleaning Products Inc. in West Boylston before retiring. Previously, he was the maintenance supervisor at the Lutheran Home in Worcester. He was a member of the Rufus Putnam Masonic Lodge in Rutland and the Melha Shriners in Springfield. In his leisure, Patrick enjoyed hunting with Paul Gardner and Jonathan Connolly, hanging out in NH with his brother, Paul and walking the dog’s with his neighbor, Greg Smith. Over the past several months, Patrick has been teaching Steve Connolly how to make tea properly and the art of recycling. Sharon Brouillette has kept us held together. A celebration of life in his honor will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. with a service of remembrance at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, at the Holden Senior Center, 1130 Main St, Holden.
