Patricia M. (Smith) Berry

LEICESTER/WORCESTER – Patricia M. (Smith) Berry, 73, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.
She leaves her loving husband, Edward J. Berry, with whom she would have celebrated 56 years of marriage on Saturday; six daughters, Kerry Trainer and her husband Richard, Elise Bordage and her husband Ronald, Randy Henry and her husband Richard all of Worcester, Michelle Tower of Woonsocket, RI, Nicole Morrissey and her husband Kevin of Leicester and Kelly Luczyk of Leicester with whom she lived; a brother, Ronald Smith of Sutton; twelve grandchildren, Elise and her husband Andy, Elizabeth and her husband Mike, Jeffrey, Eric, Patrick, Ali, Sarah, Juliana, Olivia, Vanessa, Tammy and Nikki; two great-grandchildren, Brett and Anabelle; and six step great-grandchildren; a former son-in-law, Stas Luczyk of Worcester; and several nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Joseph and George Smith and two sisters, Mae Smith and Dorothy Poole, who was her best friend, predeceased her.
Patricia was born in Worcester, the daughter of Samuel and Lily (Leeming) Smith and had lived in Worcester for 64 years before moving to Leicester 9 years ago. She was a certified nursing assistant for several area nursing homes and hospitals in Worcester County before working full time taking care of her growing and loving family. She mostly enjoyed time spent with her husband, daughters and grandchildren whom she cherished. She will be missed dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Patricia will be held on Thursday, May 23, from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen Street, 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701 or American Heart Association, P.O.
