Patricia V. (Mcneil) Tisa

May 6, 1930 — October 10, 2014

PRINCETON/LEOMINSTER - Patricia V. (McNeil) Tisa, 84, formerly of Leominster, died peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2014, surrounded by her family.

Since 2010, she lived with her son, Mark S. Tisa and her daughter-in-law, Kimberly N. Tisa and their two golden retrievers, Chilee and Gunner, who always brought a smile to her face and were her two special friends. She also leaves her son, Gary S. Tisa and his wife, Susanna Tisa of Reston, Virginia. Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Santo Tisa in 1998 and her brother, Thomas E. McNeil in 2010.

Born May 6, 1930, she was the daughter of Daniel and Viola (Bergeron) McNeil. She graduated from Leominster High School class of 1948. Patricia worked for General Electric in Fitchburg for approximately 5 years before joining Safety Fund Bank. Patricia served as the branch manager at the Central Street office in Leominster before being promoted to IRA program manager at the main office in Fitchburg. She worked for Safety Fund Bank for 20 years before retiring in 1994.

Sewing was her favorite pastime and she loved to be creative with knitting, crocheting and needlepoint which she shared with her family. Patricia also enjoyed craft-making especially around the holiday times, as well as making fudge and baking assorted cookies, pies and other desserts for her family and friends, all of which gave her great joy in life.

She traveled extensively with her son, Gary and daughter-in-law, Susanna throughout the U.S. and Europe and always enjoyed seeing new places and meeting new and interesting people. Her favorite trips, however, were the ones she took each year to the White Mountains and Good Harbor Beach with her two young sons and a picnic basket full of homemade fried chicken. Patricia also cherished and thought the world of her closest and very dear friends, Donna Leibovitz, Anne Femino, and Irene Sargent.

Lastly, Patricia’s family was the most important part of her life and always her greatest love. Throughout her entire life she was a selfless mother who sacrificed and gave her love to all things that involved her family. We love you and we will miss you dearly.
