HOLDEN – Patricia “Pat” J. (Lander) Dinsdale, 75, of Manning Street, Jefferson, died on Friday, November 4, 2011, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester surrounded by her family and the caring ICU staff of the hospital. She was born in West Boylston, the daughter of Lyndon and Rena (Roberts) Lander, and lived 13 years in Sterling and 48 years in Holden.
She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of 56 years, Donald A. Dinsdale; a son, Paul A. Dinsdale and his wife Christine of Rutland; a daughter, Wendy L. Dinsdale - Kneeland of Jefferson; a sister, Nancy Perkins of Holden; seven grandchildren: Austin Kneeland, Joshua Eckert -Dinsdale, Alexander Dinsdale, Catherine Dinsdale and Rachael Dinsdale; two grandsons, Daniel and Nicholas Dinsdale, predeceased her in 1998. She also leaves many nephews and nieces that she loved.
Pat graduated from Leominster High School and worked 22 years at Nutrician Source in West Boylston, retiring last month. She loved baking for her family and was known for her “whoopie pies”. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was known for making the “best mittens”.
A memorial service honoring Pat’s life will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, November 18th at the Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 North Main Street, Oakdale. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the MSPCA (an organization that Pat supported frequently), 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
