Patricia Anne (Toomey) Giaquinto

August 19, 1950 — July 24, 2020

WORCESTER/OAKHAM – Patricia Anne (Toomey) Giaquinto passed away
peacefully at UMass Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester on July 24, 2020. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of John E. Toomey and Marie Emily (Marotte) Trainer.

Patricia spent her early years in Worcester, graduating from North High School. She met Anthony Giaquinto in 1970, fell quickly in love, and the two were married in 1972. Anthony, an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, introduced Patricia to his love of motorcycling. She spent her career working as a Financial Aid Director for most notably, Broms Academy in Worcester, where she had a meaningful and positive impact on students’ lives for 30 years.

She was a loving grandmother. Nothing made her happier than when her grandchildren were born. Patricia loved to explore and travel. She traveled the country by train with her best friend, Buddie Alden. One of her favorite places to visit was Hotel Coronado in San Diego. She was professional in everything she did, as well as influential to many people.

Patricia is survived by her son, Sean-Michael Giaquinto and his wife, Donna; her daughter, Stacia M. Giaquinto; her sister, Kathleen M. Cook; two brothers, Charles M. Toomey and his wife, Lynn and Paul D. Trainer; the lights of her life, her two grandchildren, Ravyn S. Giaquinto and Jake-Anthony Giaquinto. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, including her beloved niece,Lisa M Hilerio and her husband,Peter. She is predeceased by her husband, Anthony S. Giaquinto, who passed in 2009.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, August 1, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service honoring her life will take place at 11:00 am at the funeral home, followed by a committal service at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Donate Life https://www.donatelife.net/give-to-dla/ .
