WORCESTER – Patricia A. (Petkiewicz) Preston, 50, of 41 Foxmeadow Drive, died Monday, October 4, 2004, in Umass Memorial Medical Center after a long illness.
She leaves two sons, Lawrence P. Preston, III of Lancaster and Joseph R. DiGregorio of Worcester; a daughter, Tara L. Preston of Cape Coral, Florida; her long time companion with whom she lived, Raymond DiGregorio; two brothers, Vincent Bacy of Worcester and Al Petkiewicz of Boise, Idaho; her step-father, Leander Johanson of Worcester; and aunt, Cecelia Bowse of Worcester. A brother, Ronnie Kramek, and a sister, Dorothy Petkiewicz, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Genevieve (Kramek) Petkiewicz, and lived here most of her life.
Patty graduated from Doherty Memorial High School and worked for Madison Cable Company in Worcester. Previously she worked at Ziff Paper Company and Mechanics Bank all in Worcester. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and spending time with her cats.
The funeral Mass for Patty will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 9, in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours at are from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 8, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
