HOLDEN – Patricia A. (Churchley) Mellor, 80, of Holden, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, in the Sterling Healthcare Center.
She leaves two sons, Theodore A. Mellor, Jr., of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Peter S. Mellor of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two daughters, Diane P. Mellor of Milwaukee and Cynthia G. Mellor of Leominster; a brother, Frederick W. Churchley of California; three grandchildren, Angela Paige Mellor, Kyle and Keith Day all of Milwaukee; and a daughter-in-law, Lee Wills of San Jose, California. A son, Gregory Mellor, died in 1976. She was born in Beverly, the daughter of Frederick W. and Georgiana (O’Neill) Churchley, and lived many years in Holden and Worcester.
Mrs. Mellor graduated from Fisher Junior College and was an X-Ray technician for Dr. William Blake in Holden for many years. She was tennis and bridge player and enjoyed touring New England lighthouses. She was an enthusiastic Boston Red Sox fan. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson.
The funeral for Mrs. Mellor will be held on Friday, February 3, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1325 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, in the funeral home.
