HUBBARDSTON – Pamela M. (Sedgwick) Penttila, 64, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 15, 2013 after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 13 years, David W. Penttila, Sr.; a son, Adam R. Klempner and his wife Debra of Gardner; two daughters, Wendy K. Chaney and her husband Thomas of Shaker Heights, OH and Angela L. Klempner of Gardner; a brother, Philip Sedgwick of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Sharron Parzick of Ladera Ranch, California; three grandchildren, Forrest, Theodore and Alexander; and several nephews and nieces.
Pamela was born in Pittsfield, the daughter of Volney M. and Florence M. (Matthews) Sedgwick and had lived in Hubbardston for over 40 years. She was a member of the Iglesia Evangelica Church of Worcester and was a bible teacher. She spent her life caring for others, and cherished her role of loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed walking outdoors, working in her flower garden, traveling to the Caribbean and ministering.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 12 to 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A committal service will be held in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Hubbardston.
