Pamela J. (Burdick) Chamberlain

Biography
WEST BOYLSTON – Pamela J. (Burdick) Chamberlain, 55, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness. She was born in Irvington, NJ, raised in Sayreville, NJ, the daughter of Charles and Violet Burdick. She lived in N. Oxford before moving to West Boylston in 2001.

Pam graduated from the University of Phoenix and was most recently a marketing manager for IBM. Her career started at Digital Equipment Corporation in their logistics organization where she worked for many years and continued in marketing as Digital was acquired by Compaq and subsequently, Hewlett Packard.

She was a devoted member of the First Congregational Church of West Boylston and was a “Big Sister” with the Big Brother/Big Sister Program. She will always be remembered for her selfless nature and many acts of kindness.

She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her loving husband, James M. Chamberlain; her daughter, Caitlyn M. Chamberlain of West Boylston; a brother, Charles Burdick of Tobyhanna, PA; a sister, Donna French and niece, Jacqueline of Palm Bay, FL; a stepson, Michael Chamberlain of Johnston, RI; a stepdaughter, Michelle and her husband Anthony Amalfitano of Johnston, RI; two step-grandchildren, Brittney and Anthony Amalfitano; a sister-in-law, Mary Louise Flores of Yardley, PA; Stephanie Sawyer her loving "little sister" and devoted friend of 23 years; and many other loving relatives, friends and colleagues.

All are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, at the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling, MA. A memorial service celebrating Pam’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, at the First Congregational Church of West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Congregational Church of West Boylston, 26 Central St., West Boylston, MA 01583, or the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
