Palmina (Antinarella) Luhta

HOLDEN – Palmina (Antinarella) Luhta, 81, formerly of 8 Parker Avenue, died Friday, January 16, 2004, in the Blair House in Worcester after an illness.

Her husband of 55 years, Eino J. Luhta, died in 1998. She leaves three daughters, Joanne K. Bouvier of Shrewsbury, and Mary A. Cravedi of Boylston and Jocelyn A. Segrin of Holden; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. A son, David J. Luhta, predeceased her. She was born in West Boylston, the daughter of Daniel and Angela (DiSilveo) Antinarella, and lived over 50 years in Holden.

Mrs. Luhta retired from the former Rutland Heights Hospital in Rutland where she worked as an operator. Previously, she worked for the City of Worcester's Health Department. She was a long time member of Holden Chapel. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and music.

The funeral service for Mrs. Luhta will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2004, in Holden Chapel, 279 Reservoir Street (Rte. 31), Holden. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2004, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Eastern Masssachusetts, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140.
