WORCESTER – Patrick A. Moran, 62, of 78 Central Tree Road, Rutland, formerly of Worcester, died at home on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, after a brief illness.
He was the son of the late Milton F. and Beatrice I. (Kimball) Moran. He leaves two sisters, Maryann Moran of Sutton and Carol B. Bibaud and her husband Charlie of Worcester; two brothers, Dennis C. Moran and his wife Katherine of Center Harbor, NH and his twin brother with whom he lived, Peter A. Moran and his wife Wendy of Rutland. He will be missed by twelve nephews and nieces, many relatives and Home Depot colleagues and friends.
Pat graduated from the former Assumption Prep School and from Worcester State College with a Library Science degree. He worked at Sawyer Lumber, Somerville Lumber and Home Depot in Shrewsbury until his recent illness. Pat was a quiet, gentle, private lover of books, classical music and history. His hobbies included bird watching and cartography, especially today’s changing boundaries.
The funeral for Pat will be held on Friday, September 1, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will be private in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory may be made to the VNA Care Network, Hospice Program, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608-1280.
