PRINCETON – Oscar A. Lindquist, 90, of Main Street, Princeton, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2005, in Heywood Hospital in Gardner. He was the husband of the late Sigrid (Wilson) who died in 1998.
He leaves two sons, William A. Lindquist and his wife Pamela of Princeton and Richard E. Lindquist and his wife Geri of Princeton; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was born in the Thunder Bay District, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late Algot and Dagmar (Vester) Lindquist. He formerly resided in Holden, and had been a Princeton resident since 1999. He was a graduate of the Worcester Boy’s Trade School.
Mr. Lindquist worked as a machinist with several companies in the local area. Prior to his retirement in 1990, he worked for Siegler Machinery in Princeton. He was an active member and deacon of the First Congregational Church in Princeton.
A graveside service be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church, 14 Mountain Road, Princeton, MA 01541. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
