Olive F. (Martin) Clark

HOLDEN – Olive F. (Martin) Clark, 89, of 51 Mayflower Circle, died Sunday, January 23, 2005, in UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester.

Her husband of 50 years, Walfred A. Clark, died in 1985. She leaves her son, Ronald R. and his wife Diane F. Clark of Sutton; two daughters, Constance J. and her husband Adelbert Cyr of Worcester and Judith A. and her husband Paul F. Bellows of Hardwick; two brothers, Howard Martin of Auburn and David Martin of Worcester; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nephews & nieces. A sister, Dorothy Wahlstrom, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Alexander and Ethel M. (Fenton) Martin, and lived in Worcester before moving to Holden 45 years ago. She was a graduate of Commerce High School.

Mrs. Clark was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Worcester where she was active in church fellowship and fundraising. She worked at Denholm’s Department Store in Worcester for many years. She was an accomplished artist, painter, and watercolorist. She displayed her watercolors at the Worcester Art Museum, Holden Senior Center and Town Hall. She was a member of the Friends of the Holden Council on Aging, its walking club, Pen Pal program and the Silly Seniors.

The Funeral for Mrs. Clark will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, in the funeral home. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
