WORCESTER - Albert Abbie (“Obbie “) Kirstein, age 97, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023, after a short period of declining health.

He was born and raised in Norwich Connecticut, the son of Philip and Anna Kirstein. He lived in Ware Massachusetts before moving to Worcester Massachusetts, where he spent the majority of his life. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Ida (Glick) Kirstein, and recently by his loving son Alan.

In his youth, Obbie was an excellent athlete and throughout his life remained an avid golfer.
Obbie worked in sales and also used the gift of his beautiful cantorial voice to serve the Jewish communities in Worcester and beyond.

Obbie was a devoted son, husband, father, and uncle. Above all else Obbie was proud of his Jewish heritage.

Family and friends will gather for a Graveside Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 30 at Worcester Hebrew Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
