S Ingeborg (Norstrom) Erickson

HOLDEN – Ingeborg (Norstrom) Erickson, 99, of Wyoming Drive, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 in UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, from complications of a stroke.
Her husband of 62 years, Erick G. Erickson, died in 1997. She was born in Karlskoga, Varmland, Sweden, the daughter of Adolf and Agnes (Larson) Norstrom. She moved to the states in 1929 and lived on Belmont Hill in Worcester until moving to Holden in 1959. In the 1970's she worked at Paul Revere Insurance Co. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was known for her baking, kindness and generosity to her family and friends.
She leaves her son, Theodore A. Erickson of Gastonia, North Carolina; her daughter, Marion L. Kirby of Holden; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1st, at Mooreland Cemetery, 251 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations her in memory be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02201. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
