Norman F. Taber

HOLDEN/WORCESTER – Norman F. Taber, 58, of 8 Reservoir Street, died peacefully in his home on Friday, February 16, 2007.

He leaves two sons, Mark N. Taber of Gardner and Richard F. Taber of Sterling; two granddaughters, Courtney and Ashleigh Taber. His brother, David Taber predeceased him. He was born in Clinton, the son of Alfred W. and Dorothy C. (Corbet) Taber, was raised in Sterling, and lived many years in Worcester before recently moving to Holden.

Mr. Taber graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in Holden and worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Worcester, retiring in 2006. Previously, he worked 25 years for Wright Line Company in Worcester. He was U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

The funeral service for Mr. Taber will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Interment will be private in Oakhill Cemetery, Clinton Road, Sterling. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Massachusetts Veterans Shelter, 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
