Norma Abboudi (Aboody)

WORCESTER – Norma Abboudi (Aboody) passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Saint Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Worcester. She was 55. Norma was born on September 29, 1961 in Beirut, Lebanon before immigrating to Worcester with her family in 1987.
She will be affectionately missed and remembered by her mother, Montaha “Mona” (Karam) Abboudy (Aboody) with whom she lived, and three brothers, George Aboody and his wife, Yvette and their children, Nora and Edmond; Fernand Aboody and his wife, Claudette and their children, Mayssa, Anthony and Maria; and Paul E. Aboody and his wife, Caroline and their children, Stephanie, Sarah and Colin. She is predeceased by her father, Edmond Abboudy (Aboody).
Norma was a constant light of love, hope, and inspiration that shined on her family and those who were blessed to have known her.  She embraced life and the simple things it had to offer. Norma was gentle and kind by nature with a giving heart that was always willing to help others in need. Her favorite pastimes were cruising with her nephews and nieces and enjoying her favorite ice cream.
A funeral service honoring Norma’s life will be held privately on Tuesday the 17th at 11 am in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. She will be laid to rest in Hope Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 256 Hamilton St., Worcester, MA 01604.
