HOLDEN - Noel graduated from South High School, Worcester Junior College and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Bryant University. While serving in the Army National Guard in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, Noel married the love of his life, Margaret Fay on September 6, 1969. They raised their family in Worcester before moving to Holden 27 years ago. Noel owned Canterbury Motors as well as Canterbury Towing and Recovery, Ugly Duckling Rent-A-Car, Swan Rentals and several other enterprises in Worcester for many years before retiring in 2008. Proud of his Armenian heritage, Noel was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour and attended Blessed Sacrament Church with his wife, Peg. He was devoted to his family and active in his community through the years. He leaves his loving wife of 48 years, Margaret “Peg” E. (Fay) Donabedian; his son, Christopher J. Donabedian of North Tustin, CA; his daughter, Michelle M. (Donabedian) McPhie and her husband, Duncan H. of Glasgow, Scotland; two grandchildren, Hamish and Rory; his sister, Linda Donabedian of Hampstead, NC; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Donald.Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Noel’s family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, and again at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, before leaving in procession to Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street, Worcester for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. A private committal service will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
