S Cathryn N. (Evereth) Tibbetts

PAXTON/RUTLAND – Cathryn N. (Everleth) Tibbetts, 85, died peacefully under the care of her family and the staff at Overlook Masonic Healthcare Center on Saturday, May 7, 2011.

She was born in Worcester a daughter of Chester and Myra (Doane) Everleth. She was raised in Paxton, lived 12 years in Rutland, and many years in Mahopac, NY, before moving to Charlton. She leaves two sons, Paul R. Tibbetts and his wife Joanne of St. Michaels, Maryland and Thom W. Tibbetts and his fiancée Margie of McKinney, Texas; two daughters, Nancy A. Deonarine and her husband John of East Fallowfield, Pennsylvania and Julie C. Brady and her husband Billy of Mahopac, New York; two sisters, Carolyn A. Stone and her husband James of Paxton and Joyce Anderson and her husband Clifford of Centerville; four grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Deonarine, Katie Tibbetts and Jeannie Beshears; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, David Everleth, and a sister Ruth Walker, predeceased her.

She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade High School and was a licensed cosmetologist for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, quilting, reading, square dancing and watching baseball.

Cathryn's family wishes to express their appreciation and thanks to the entire staff at Overlook Masonic Healthcare Center for the continued loving care and compassion they have shown her and her family over the past five years.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 9th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10th, in the First Congregational Church of Paxton, 1 Church Street, Paxton, with The Rev. Donald D. Whitcomb officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery, Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to the Overlook Masonic Healthcare Center, P.O. Box 1000, Charlton, MA 01507.
