WORCESTER – Nellie “Nell” Totilas, died on Monday, January 22, 2007 in St. Vincent Hospital after taking ill at home.
She leaves three sisters, Eleanor Depenbrook of Washington, DC, Elizabeth “Betty” R. Davis of Maryland, and Florence “Flo” G. Totilas with whom she lived; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; 4 great-nieces and 3 great-nephews and a great great niece. A sister, Louise R. Totilas predeceased her. She was born in Worcester the daughter of George and Louise (Rapkevicz) Totilas and lived here all her life.
Nell graduated from Classical High School and Post Business School both in Worcester and was a social worker for the City of Worcester and the State of Massachusetts, before retiring many years ago. She was a member of St. George’s Church and its Women’s Guild.
The funeral for Nell will be held on Saturday, January 27, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street., Worcester. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Respecting her wishes there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Nell has asked that you all pray for the children of the world, so that not one goes hungry or homeless.
