WORCESTER – Nathan Daniel Pollan, 31, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, at UMASS Memorial Medical Center- University Campus.

Born in Cambridge, Nate, son of Kenneth Pollan and Pamela (Madnick) Pollan was a lifelong resident of Central Massachusetts.

Nathan will be lovingly missed and remembered by his parents, Kenneth Pollan of Shirley and Pamela (Madnick) Pollan of Worcester; sisters, Hannah Dwyer and husband, Jason of Templeton; Rachel Pollan of Naples Florida; grandparents, Ronal and Deena (Silverman) Madnick of Worcester, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister Michele Pollan, and his grandparents Natalie (Bluestein) Pollan and Marvin Pollan.

Nathan, an avid video game enthusiast enjoyed free time in online communities, built around shared interests. This included Minecraft, Pokémon, and Persona where he loved talking about these games with friends. Nate hosted a Minecraft Science Server.

Nathan attended Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School for Electrical Wiring and loved fixing things for family and friends. He was resident “techie” in family and loved helping family and friends with technical problems.

Nathan loved building items with his 3D printer and bringing joy into the lives of those around him with whimsical items like cones and octopus’ replicas.

He looked forward to many summers at Camp Joslin in Charlton where he loved playing GA-GA and going on Hikes to Heck.

He loved animals and shared photos of family cats. Nathan also loved coffee, gin rummy and spending time with close friends and family despite fighting lifelong illness, with a smile on his face and jokes to keep you smiling.

He loved spreading joy and positivity to those around him.

Family and friends will gather for memorial service at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 11 at Temple Emanuel Sinai, 661 Salisbury Street, Worcester, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Reception. Burial will be private.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Camp Joslin, Barton Center for Diabetes Education, ChildLife at UMASS Memorial, or cleanwater.org.
