Biography
WORCESTER – Nathan Gubb, 88, died on Thursday, January 7th in Rose Monahan Hospice.
His wife of 42 years, Rosalie (Muchnikoff) Gubb, died in 2007. He leaves two daughters, Laurie, wife of Howard Austrager of Framingham and Deborah Iliffe of London, England; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Paul and Louis Gubb.
For many years he was a manufacturer’s representative of jewelry retiring 20 years ago. He was born in Webster, son of David and Dora (Blazinsky) Gubnitsky and had lived in Worcester for 50 years.
He was a member of the Beth Israel Synagogue, the Jewish Healthcare Center, and B’Nai Brith.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 AM ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 10TH IN BETH ISRAEL SYNAGOGUE ON JAMESBURY DRIVE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in B’Nai Brith Cemetery.
Memorial Observance will be held through the evening of Sunday, January 10th and 7PM to 9PM on Monday, January 11th, and Tuesday, January 12th at the residence of Laurie and Howard Austrager, 10 Pleasantview Terrace, Framingham, MA 01701. Minyan services will be held at 7:30 PM on Monday and Tuesday at the residence.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
