WORCESTER - Nathan M. Grace, age 81, died on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at his residence following a short illness.
He leaves his wife of 33 years, Barbara (Bouvier) Mercier Grace; a daughter, Meredith, wife of Robert Reichheld of Shrewsbury; a son, Charles Grace and his partner, Sara of Needham; a step-son, Kenneth Mercier and his wife, Andrea of Marlborough; three step-daughters, Dianne, wife of Len Kasprzak of Charlton, Pamela, wife of Scott Hemming of Webster, and Jacqueline, wife of Mark Vessella of Dudley; eight grandchildren, Jena, Lillian, Marshall, Taryn, Courtney, Patrick, Matthew and Zachary; his step-mother, Sonia (Mowshowitz) Grace Pliner; a brother, Arthur Grace and his wife, Debra of Ojai, California; two sisters, Dianne Solomon of Wayland and Laura Grace of Alexandria, Virginia; and a niece, Cara Solomon of Somerville.
He was born in Worcester, a son of Charles and Anna (Mowshowitz) Grace, and lived in Worcester for most of his life moving to Holden a number of years ago.
He graduated from Worcester Academy, Brown University and Boston University School of Law. He practiced law in Worcester for 35 years, until his retirement in 1996. He also owned Sixth Avenue Construction Co. for about 20 years.
He enjoyed traveling and traveled extensively throughout the world.
He was a member of Temple Emanuel Sinai and was a 50-year member of the Level Lodge of Masons.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2 P.M. ON SUNDAY, JULY 31, AT TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 661 SALISBURY STREET, WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in B’Nai Brith Cemetery in Worcester.
Memorial Observance will be announced at the time of the funeral services.
