WORCESTER – Nancy J. (Argust) Walnista, age 86, died peacefully on Thursday, June 13th, 2024, at the Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Worcester, after a long illness.
Born in Scranton, PA, Nancy was the daughter of William H. and Margaret (Richards) Argust.
Nancy worked most of her adult life at FormSystems/Smith Brothers Printing and Pepsi Cola in Holden MA where she made lifelong friends. Upon her retirement she spent most of her time with her family, friends, and grandkids.
Nancy will be lovingly missed and remembered by her sons, James Walnista and his wife, Tracy of Shrewsbury, and Robert Walnista and his wife, Tina of Mansfield; and her beloved grandchildren, Brittany Novak and her husband Cory, Spencer, Zachary and Bella.
Nancy never had a bad word to say about anyone. She always saw the positive and good in people and was a friend to all she met. She had a large circle of friends who she was loyal to and in turn were loyal to her and there for her right to the very end. Even in her later years when her health was failing, Nancy was always on the phone with her family and friends.
She was lovingly referred to as Bea, a name bestowed on her by her oldest grandchild, Brittany. It was a term of endearment and ALL that met her knew who Bea was. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and her world. Nothing made Bea happier than spending time with Brittany, Spencer, Zachary and Bella. She showered them with love and affection, calling them at least once a week, spending countless hours with them as they grew into the amazing young men and women they are today and taking pride in all of their accomplishments. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends will gather at Calling Hours, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Sunday, June 23rd at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 24th. Interment will take place privately at Abington Hills Cemetery in Pennsylvania, where Nancy will join her parents.
