Nancy M. (Mcguire) Woods

RUTLAND/SPENCER - Nancy M. (McGuire) Woods, 46, passed away as a result of injuries sustained in an accident on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of James X. McGuire and graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School in Worcester and Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner.

Her husband of 9 years, Patrick R. Woods, passed away in 2004. She leaves two daughters, Stephanie M. and Amanda L. Woods; her mother, Sally P. (Harrington) McGuire; a brother, James M. McGuire, all of Rutland; and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Nancy was a driver for SCM Elderbus, Inc. in Charlton for 10 years. Previously she was a certified nurse's assistant for UMass Memorial Healthcare in Worcester. She was a former member of Mary Queen of the Rosary Church in Spencer. She will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. The funeral for Nancy will be held on Monday, April 14, from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Mary Queen of the Rosary Church, 7 Church Street, Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary Queen of the Rosary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
