Biography
HOLDEN/ ROCHESTER HILLS, MI - Nancy Hillhouse, 64, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, and formerly of Holden, passed away on January 18, 2014, after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Holden, the daughter of James W. and Shirley E. (Johnson) Hillhouse III.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Johnson; a sister, Elizabeth N. Pendleton and her husband, Dr. Jesse Pendleton of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, David Hillhouse and his wife, Renatè of Holden; two nieces, Beth Pendleton and her husband, Paul Westefer and Jessica Parks and her husband, Andy; a nephew, Erik Hillhouse and his wife, Tracey; also survived by three great-nieces, one great-nephew and her beloved cat Lady.
A special thanks to Nancy’s caregiver, Anahita King, who gave Nancy years of help, friendship and love. Nancy spent her life helping people and reveling in their company. She was a volunteer in VISTA and Hospice and worked for years as a volunteer at the National MS Society, New Hampshire and Michigan Chapters. Nancy spent many happy years working in the field of commercial real estate financing in New Hampshire. She will be missed by countless numbers of friends.
A memorial calling hour will be held on Saturday, February 1st, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A) Holden. Inurnment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Michigan Chapter, National MS Society, 21311 Civic Center Dr, Southfield, MI 48076 or to the Michigan Humane Society, 3600 W.
