Nancy E. (Scott) Cahill

RUTLAND – Nancy E. (Scott) Cahill, 72, of Florida, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2006 in Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire, while visiting from Florida.
Her husband of 46 years, John M. Cahill, died in 2001. She leaves her daughter with whom she lives, Colleen Lastowski of Palm Harbor, Florida; two sons, John M. Cahill, Jr. of Michigan and Michael S. Cahill of Alabama; two sisters, Kathleen M. Green of Holden and Patricia E. LaChance of Rutland; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was born in Worcester on October 15, 1933 the daughter of Willard and Helen (Jameson) Scott. She was a graduate of Rutland High School in 1951 and the St. Vincent School of Nursing class of 1954. She was a registered nurse for 36 years and was an active member of Espiritu Santo Parish in Safety Harbor, Florida.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated in Nancy’s honor at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 17, in St. Patrick’s Church, 290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756-0001; or the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
