HOLDEN – Nancy A. (Bucca) Desens, 98, beloved wife of the late Albert “Jack” Desens, Jr., passed away peacefully at the Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center on Monday, December 7, 2020. Born and raised in Holden, Nancy was the daughter of Carmello and Jennie (Cerasuolo) Bucca.
Nancy was a graduate of Holden High School and Salter Secretarial School. She enjoyed a long career as an administrative assistant with the former Norton Company in Worcester. She was a faithful and dedicated member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson. Nancy was a talented artist who took pleasure in donating her beautiful paintings to family and friends. In her spare time she was an avid reader. She could often be found traveling with Jack or simply spending time at the beaches of Wells and Ogunquit, ME.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her son, Jack Desens and his wife, Alyson of Orleans; two grandchildren, Mark Desens and Kelly McGrath and her husband, Kevin; two great-grandchildren, Lyla and Dylan McGrath; and her sister, Barbara Hayes and her husband, John of Hyannis. In addition to her husband of 66 years, Jack , she was predeceased by a brother, Dominic Bucca.
Nancy will be laid to rest at the convenience of the family at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in West Harwich, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to StJude.org. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
