RUTLAND – Nancy Marie (Clemente) Isernio, 89, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 29, 2018 after an illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Alessio and Filomena (Rinaldi) Clemente and lived in Worcester for many years before moving to Rutland in 1968.
Her loving husband of 42 years, Dominic “Murph” G. Isernio, Jr., passed away in 2010. She is survived by her nephews, Robert Clemente of Worcester; two grandnephews, Matthew Clemente of Northbridge and Nicholas Clemente of Worcester; and three grandnieces, Kathryn Filmer of Worcester, Michelle Roemer of Dudley and Heather Furcillo of North Carolina; She was predeceased by her brother, Matteo Clemente, two sisters, Marie and Grace Clemente; and her niece, Donna Stewart.
Nancy graduated from Commerce High School and Salter Secretary School, both in Worcester. She worked at Norton Company for 40 years as a secretary before retiring in 1984. As an active member of St. Patrick’s Church, Nancy was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Oblates of St. Benedict’s and was on the bereavement committee. She also was a member of the Rutland Council on Aging and the 25 years club at Norton Company. Nancy was well known for her devotion to her family and to her church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Nancy will be held on Wednesday, April 4, at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 258 Main Street, Rutland. Please go directly to church. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s Church, P.O.
