Nancy V. Brosnan

WORCESTER - Nancy V. (Laukaitis) Brosnan, 91, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Shrewsbury Crossing surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Worcester on May 14, 1933, the daughter of Peter G. and Olga (Davis) Laukaitis, and lived in Worcester her entire life.

Nancy was married to her loving husband, Denis J. Brosnan, who passed away in 2006, for 51 years. She leaves her five children, Kathleen N. (Brosnan) Galante and partner David A. Alaimo, Dennis J. Brosnan, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, Eileen M. Brosnan, and Maureen A. Brosnan and her husband James Belletete. She is predeceased by her son, Sean P. Brosnan, who passed in 2020, and his wife, Lori (Rice) Brosnan.

Nancy also leaves her twelve beloved grandchildren, Michael Galante, Christine (Galante) Bachour and her husband Elias, Dennis Brosnan III and his wife Hilary, Kaitlin (Brosnan) Pacitti and her husband Alexander, Patrick Brosnan and his fiance Melissa Moynihan, Justin Brosnan and his wife Elizabeth, Griffin Brosnan, Cameron Brosnan, Liam Brosnan, Brianna Brosnan, Ainsley Brosnan, Elisia Spiridigliozzi, and one great grandchild, Finnian Brosnan.

She leaves behind her sister-in-law Dorothy A. Laukaitis, but was predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Genevieve T. Berry, Eleanor E. Mazzone, and sisters-in-law, Antoinette M. Laukaitis, brother-in-law Vincent E. Cox, Alphonse G. Laukaitis and his wife Elaine (Mickey), Daniel P. Laukaitis, Edward S. Laukaitis, Beverly D. Cox and Patricia C. Geraway. In addition, Nancy leaves many much-loved nieces and nephews.

Nancy was a graduate of Worcester Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing in 1954 and was a life-long Registered Nurse. She worked through her many years as an obstetric RN at Hahnemann Hospital, Worcester area hospitals and finally at area skilled nursing facilities until her retirement in 2005. Her greatest joys were spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an extraordinary cook and baker, and an amazing crocheter, sewer, knitter, and beautifully skilled oil painter. Nancy also possessed natural musical talents, and frequently entertained family with her piano and accordion endowment. Over her lifetime she was blessed with many long-time friendships that she greatly cherished.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Nancy’s family from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 19th, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A celebration of life will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
