WORCESTER – Nancee E. (Berglund) Dennis, 71, of 85 Blue Bell Road, died peacefully Monday, August 22, 2005, in the Hospice Residence, 10 Judith Road, Worcester after a long battle with cancer.
She leaves her husband of 50 years, Henry “Hank” B. Dennis; her son, Paul H. Dennis and his wife Cheryl of Holden; two daughters, Linda M. Swiss and her husband Tyler of Anchorage, Alaska, and Karen N. Smith and her husband Christopher of Worcester; a brother, Karle Berglund of Brookfield; three sisters, Barbara Bergman and Alice Ruffo both of Worcester and Betty Bisnette of Tucson, Arizona; three grandchildren, Bonnie and Tyler Dennis, Leah Swiss; and many nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Leonard and Francis Berglund, and three sisters, Helen Bergman, Joyce Berglund and Gladys Landquist, predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of B.H. Leonard and Thyra (Johnson) Berglund, and lived 35 years in Holden before moving back to Worcester in 1995. She was a graduate of Commerce High School.
Mrs. Dennis was a customer service representative for Norton Co. for 22 years, retiring in 1993. She was a 40-year member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir.
The funeral service for Mrs. Dennis will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 26, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 346 Shrewsbury Street, Holden. Burial will follow in All Faith’s Cemetery, 7 Island Road, Worcester. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 346 Shrewsbury Street, Holden, MA 01520; or to the Hospice Residence, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602.
