STERLING – Myron A. Wronski, Sr., 90, of Redemption Rock Trail, died on Friday, January 4, 2008, in Sterling Healthcare after an illness.
His wife of 47 years, Stephanie “Stella” M. (Nicholas) Wronski, died in 1980. He leaves a son, Sonny Wronski, Jr. of Sterling; three daughters, Elizabeth V. Surette and her husband William of Framingham, Marion S. Blais of Worcester and Patricia E. Beddie and her husband Philip of Worcester; two brothers, Edmund “Slim” and Harold Wronski both of Sterling; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Chester and Edwin Wronski, a daughter-in-law, Patricia (Witkowski) Wronski, and a son-in-law, Ed Blais, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester the son of Joseph and Salemia (Nosel) Wronski and lived most of his life in Sterling.
While caring for his father, Mr. Wronski operated his father’s dairy farm in Sterling. During that time he also worked as a machinist at Thompson Wire Co. in Worcester for many years before retiring in 1979. He was a member of Our Lady of Jasna Gora Church in Clinton, the Leominster Sportsman’s Association, Amateur Trap Shooting Association and a life member of the Eight Point Sportsmen’s Club in Sterling. He was a former New England States and Massachusetts State trap shooting champion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 7th, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. The funeral service for Mr. Wronski will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 8th, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
