WORCESTER - Myles Kenneth Tronic, 64, of Worcester, died on the evening of August 29, 2015 of severe and multiple injuries sustained in an automobile accident on August 22, 2015. He was not at fault and was airlifted to the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave., where he remained for a week in intensive care until he passed away.
Myles was born in Worcester on August 14, 1951, and was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Jesse Tronic. He attended St. Mark's School in Southborough where he won the debating prize at his graduation in 1969 and where he also began organ studies in the school chapel. He received a BA in French from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. For several years he was the classical music critic for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette and was an organist and choir director at various area churches. At the time of his death, he was the director of music at St. Leo's Church in Leominster.
Myles leaves behind two brothers, Michael Tronic of Marlborough and Dr. Bruce Tronic of North Andover; his sister-in-law, Joan; two beloved nephews, Robert and his wife, Vasanti of Cambridge, and Brian of New Delhi, India; a beloved niece, Kimberly of Los Angeles; and an adored grandnephew, Kiran of Cambridge.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, at St. Leo's Church, 128 Main St., Leominster, MA 01453. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Contributions in Myles's memory may be made to St. Leo's Church Building Fund.
