S Dorothy M. (Veroneau) Collins Greene

SHREWSBURY – Dorothy M. (Veroneau) Collins Greene, 90, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 in Knollwood Nursing Center, West Boylston.

Her husband, Victor Greene died in 2001. Her first husband, Thomas P. Collins, died in 1967. She leaves her daughter, Kathleen "Kate" Kenneway of West Boylston; a sister, Beverly Sundquist of Spencer; three brothers, Jake and Paul Veroneau both of Worcester and David Veroneau of Oregon; four grandchildren, Kim Barannikov, Kirk and Seth Kenneway, and Kristen Collins; and seven great-grandchildren. Two sons, James and David Collins, and two grandsons, Jeffrey and James Collins, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Henry S. and Ida (Owens) Veroneau, and lived 54 years in Shrewsbury before moving to West Boylston seven years ago.

She worked as a cashier for Iandoli Supermarkets and at Spag's in Shrewsbury. She was a lifelong member of the Wachusett Christadelphian Ecclesia, was accomplished seamstress and loved gardening, cooking and entertaining her family.

A memorial service for Dorothy will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 1st, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Burial will be private in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Memorial donations may be made to the Wachusett Christadelphian Ecclesia, P.O. Box 124, West Boylston, MA 01583.
