Muriel J. Funka, 91, of Millbury, MA, passed away at home on May 29, 2022.
She taught in the Auburn school system for 25 years. In her retirement she excelled in creating classic and unique designs in fabric art. She was active in the Blackstone Valley Art Assoc, Weston Art Assoc, Fitchburg Art Museum, Vermont Quilt Show, Images 2000, The Gathering, Eastern States Expo, Quilters Connection and Thimble Pleasures Quilting Guild. She taught quilting for the City of Worcester at the Center for Crafts. Her artistic talents have been and will be appreciated for years to come.
She is survived by 4 children—Dianne Altman, Daniel Funka, Tamara Stuart, and John Funka;10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
