WORCESTER – Rita M. (Pusateri) Arslen, 87, of Salisbury St., and formerly of West Boylston, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth T. Arslen, Sr., to whom she was married for 64 years; 2 sons, Kenneth T. Arslen, Jr. of West Brookfield and Ronald S. Arslen of Barre; daughter, Gwendolynn M. Purushotham and her husband Samuel of Franklin, TN and daughter, Deborah L. Hanna and her husband Elias of Grafton; a brother, Francis J. Pusateri and his wife Jenny of Mt. View, CA; 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Vincent and Rosina (Raimondi) Pusateri and lived in West Boylston for 18 years before moving to Worcester.
Rita was a nurse at the former Worcester County Hospital. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Worcester and belonged to the Dorcas Circle of the United Methodist Women.
Rita was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a generous friend with a keen eye and genuine concern for sick, disadvantaged, and bruised souls.
A memorial service for Rita will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2008 in the Wesley United Methodist Church, 114 Main Street, Worcester. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A) , Holden, MA is assisting the family with arrangements.
