S Evelyn M. (Nordstrom) Arachy

WORCESTER – Evelyn M. (Nordstrom) Arachy, 92, of West Mountain Street, died Friday, January 22, 2010 in Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Home after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 70 years, Charles S. Arachy Sr.; a son, Charles S. Arachy Jr. and his wife Diane of Rutland; two daughters, Judith F. Paxton and her husband James of Seaford, DE and Sandra E. Spaderna of Bolton, CT; a sister, Shirley L. Rosenlund of Clearwater, FL; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a son, Stephen Arachy, a son-in-law, Henry Spaderna, a granddaughter, Karen Paxson and a grandson, Michael Whittemore.
Evelyn was born in Worcester the daughter of John A. and Edith E. (Butrick) Nordstrom and lived her entire life in Worcester. She was an inspector at Astra Pharmaceutical in Worcester for many years. She taught art classes for ten years and enjoyed working on her family's genealogy.
A private funeral service for Mrs. Arachy will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the spring at Grove Cemetery, Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UMass Memorial Home Health and Hospice, 650 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
