RUTLAND/MILLBURY – Kerrie M. (Murawski) Moran, 37, of Juniper Lane, Rutland, died Friday, April 29, 2011 in her home. She was born in Worcester and raised in her home town of Millbury, graduating from Millbury High School in 1991 and Connecticut College in 1995, where she was the captain of the equestrian team. In October of 1999, Kerrie married Aaron M. Moran and moved to Rutland where they began their life together.
Kerrie was a recruiter for the Human Resource Department at UMass Memorial Healthcare, Memorial Campus. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and actively volunteered her time at the Naquag and Glenwood Elementary Schools' Parent Teacher Organizations and the Rutland Cub Scouts. She was known for her quick wit, gentle nature, unconditional love, and was referred to by her parents as a "ray of sunshine". She loved spending time with her boys and enjoyed their many trips to local parks and zoos.
She is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 12 years, Aaron M. Moran; her two sons, Joshua W. and Ryan C. Moran; her parents, Raymond J. and Katherine M. (Mozynski) Murawski of Millbury; a brother, Jeffrey A. Murawski and his wife Nicole of Millbury; and several nephews and nieces.
The Moran family welcomes relatives and friends to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4th at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In celebration of Kerrie's life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 5th at St. Patrick's Church, 258 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. A prayer service and interment will follow at Rural Cemetery, 142 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moran Memorial Fund, c/o Leominster Credit Union, 715 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520.
