NORTH BROOKFIELD – Marion "Mimi" G. (Fairbanks) Thibeault, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 6, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma.
She leaves her four children, Diane Richards and her husband Buster and Denise Aspinall and her husband Douglas, all of West Brookfield, Mary Beth Bard and her husband Noe and Timothy Thibeault and his wife Beth, all of North Brookfield; six grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin, Nichole, Noe, Corey and Steven; six great-grandchildren; a sister, June Rio of Rutland, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lionel J. Thibeault in 2009, by her son, Lionel J. Thibeault, Jr. in 1971, a sister, Evelyn Menard, and her brothers, Roslyn "Fritz" Fairbanks and George "Duddy" Fairbanks, Sr.
Marion was born in Brookfield, to the late Roslyn and Abigail (Boynton) Fairbanks. She lived most of her life in North Brookfield where she enjoyed decorating, playing cards and being surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Marion and Lionel will be laid to rest together in the spring at a graveside service at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, Inc., P.O. Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515. Her family would like to thank the staff and nurses for the compassionate care given to Mimi during her stay at Quaboag on the Common in West Brookfield. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
