Biography
WORCESTER – Milton Rothstein, age 94, of Framingham and formerly of Worcester, died on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Boston.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Beverly (Rafer) Rothstein of Framingham; three daughters, Bobbi, wife of Larry Bernstein of Cherry Hill, NJ, Nancy Rothstein of Watertown, and Joanne, wife of Donald J. Clausen of Natick; his grandchildren, David and Joshua Bernstein of Cherry Hill, NJ and Rachel, Sara and Emily Clausen of Natick; and a brother, Max Rothstein of Worcester. He was predeceased by his brothers, Louie and Irving Rothstein.
He was born in Worcester and was the son of Benjamin and Rachel (Maiser) Rothstein, and lived in Worcester for 89 years moving to Framingham 5 years ago. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee. He graduated from Classical High School and the Vesper George Art School in Boston and owned two businesses – Silk Print Advertising in Worcester and Image-On in Leicester.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11 A.M. ON SUNDAY, JUNE 5, AT THE JEWISH HEALTHCARE CENTER, 629 SALISBURY STREET, WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in Worcester Hebrew Cemetery in Auburn.
Immediately following the interment service, memorial observance will be held until 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Jewish Healthcare Center and will continue on Monday, from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the residence of Joanne and Donald J. Clausen, 9 Hawthorne Street, Natick.
