WORCESTER - Milton F. Machado, 73, died peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester. He was born in Brazil, the son of Anita and Jose Machado and has lived in Worcester for over four years.
While growing up in Brazil, Milton developed a life-long passion for soccer. He went on to play for several soccer teams and was an avid fan of the Corinthians Club. Milton honorably served in the Brazilian Army and later earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. For 35 years Milton worked as a Financial Advisor for Alcan Co. Milton will be remembered by many colleagues at Alcan for his kindness, professionalism and willingness to mentor younger employees. After his retirement, Milton served his community by volunteering at APAE, a Brazilian non-profit organization for children with special needs. At APAE Milton used his financial management skills to implement new systems for planning and allocating funds.
Milton raised a beautiful family with his wife, Madalena. Together they had two daughters and six grandchildren. Milton's most special moments were spent with his family and he was especially thrilled to be a grandfather. His family can clearly see his legacy on each one of his beloved grandchildren. Milton's integrity, honesty, kindness, dedication, strength and great sense of humor will always be remembered by those who were touched by his presence.
Milton is survived by his loving wife, Maria (Caetano) Machado; his daughters, Gisele Machado and her husband, Francisco Assis of Worcester and Jessica Carvalho and her husband, Leonardo of Worcester; his sisters, Ivone Sinatolli and her husband, Gilberto of Brazil and Ivete Sobral and her husband, Democrito of Brazil; his beloved grandchildren, Leonardo Carvalho, Isabella Carvalho, Matheus Carvalho, Gabriel Dutra, Pablo Perez and Anandini Machado.
Milton fulfilled his goal in life, to take good care of his family, with great honor, strength, faith, love, determination and courage. He leaves a legacy of great dedication, love and good examples.
