Mildred 'Mimi' (Patrick) Sacks

WORCESTER - Mildred "Mimi" (Patrick) Sacks, age 94, died at her residence on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Her husband, Lou, whom she adored, died in 2012 following 66 years of marriage.  She leaves a son, Steven Sacks and his wife, Donna, of Silver Springs, MD; a daughter, Fé Sharp of Worcester with whom she lived and her former husband, Peter Sharp; four grandchildren, Jeremy Sharp and his wife, Jana and Jared Sharp and his wife, Tali; four great-grandchildren, Sam, Eve, Ethan and Ivy Sharp; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother, Merle Patrick. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Maurice and Elizabeth (Berman) Patrick and was a lifelong resident.  She attended Classical High School and graduated in 1939, a year early.  She attended Cushing Academy and Salter Secretarial School and for many years, was a secretary for several companies. Mimi was a member of Temple Emanuel, Jewish Healthcare Center, Worcester Chapter of Hadassah, National Council of Jewish Women and B'nai Brith. She lived for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a great cook and enjoyed hosting the many holidays with her family.  She was a skilled investor and she loved to watch and talk about sports, especially the N. E. Patriots, Boston Red Sox and horseracing with her grandsons. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2:00 P.M. ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 16, AT THE JEWISH HEALTHCARE CENTER, 629 SALISBURY STREET, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN.  Burial will be in B'nai Brith Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Jewish Home Hospice for their kind and loving care, especially Sister Jane Oliver, her personal care attendant,  and Michelle Casareale, her nurse. The family also wants to thank John Augusto, her devoted care giver for the last three years. Following the interment, Memorial Observance will be held through Tuesday afternoon.
