WEST BOYLSTON – Mildred F. “Millie” (Moschitto) Malkoski, age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester. Millie was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Dominic and Josephine (Gianino) Moschitto.
Millie was educated at Horace Mann School for the Deaf in Roxbury and attended keypunch training at IBM. She worked as a keypunch operator at Liberty Mutual Insurance and Harrington & Richardson before deciding to stay home to take care of her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, bird watching, her pet cats, and spending time with nature. Millie was very faithful and brought a smile to everyone she met.
She was a member of Central Mass Deaf Senior Center at St. Matthews Church, a longtime member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in West Boylston and former member of Worcester Deaf Club.
She is survived by her two sons, Walter Malkauskas and his wife, Michele of Newington, CT, Peter Malkoski and his wife, Joy of Mendon; grandchildren, Jennifer and Emily Malkauskas, Nathan and Kala Vandersluis, Paul E. Malkoski, and Katie Babey; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul W. Malkoski; her brother, James Moschitto; and sisters, Anna Cassis and Nadara Moschitto.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Millie’s family from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 23, at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston, followed by interment at Mount Vernon Cemetery in West Boylston. Masks will be required for the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Notre Dame Healthcare Center, 555 Plantation St, Worcester, MA 01605.
