Mildred (Katz) Mccue

Biography

WORCESTER - Mildred (Katz) McCue, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25th after a long illness. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard Edward McCue and a younger brother, Howard M. Katz. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah I. and her husband, Gregory H. Darke of Queensland, Australia and Karen S. and her husband, Michael W. Schmidt of Worcester; a grandson, George W. Schmidt; and a brother, Myron L. Katz and his wife, Linda of Worcester and Boca Raton.  Born in Worcester, Mildred was the daughter of the late Bessie (Berlin) Katz and Isadore Katz and was a lifelong resident. She grew up in Worcester, MA and graduated from Classical High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark University and her Master of Education from Boston University in 1957. Upon graduation she taught elementary school in the Boston area for a short period, after which she devoted her life to her family and raising her children. Her passions included gardening, antiquing and interior design. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:30 A.M. ON THURSDAY, MARCH 9, AT TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI ON 661 SALISBURY STREET IN WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in B’Nai Brith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, Massachusetts General Hospital, Development Office, 125 Nashua Street, Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114. Memorial Observance will be announced at the time of the funeral service."Family Owned"
