Mildred 'Millie' L. (Hall) Nelson

May 1, 1929 — December 28, 2016

PRINCETON - Mildred "Millie" L. (Hall) Nelson passed away peacefully on December 28, 2016 at Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born on May 1, 1929 in Petersham, a daughter to Sheridan and Irene (Cutting) Hall, the youngest of five children. During her youth, she lived in Dana, Hubbardston, Sutton and Petersham. She attended Princeton Center School and Commerce High School.
In 1948, she married Robert Nelson of Princeton and lived there the rest of her life. She was a housekeeper for many families in Princeton and worked several years as a cook at Fernside Bed and Breakfast in Princeton.
She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her son, David Nelson of Princeton and his fiancée, Lana Richard of Athol; four grandchildren, Jessica Nelson, Robert Nelson, Jaime Cormier and Gala Cares; eight great-grandchildren, Benjamyn, Timothy, Valery-Gene, Amber, Alexia, Christopher, Kelsy and Olivia; and two great-great grandchildren, Brayden and Jordan. She also leaves two Goddaughters, Donna Johnson and Harriett Morrow, and a Godson Michael Johnson; as well as many nephews, nieces and dear friends.  She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Robert "Nellie" I. Nelson who died in 2012; two brothers, Milton and Raymond Hall, and two sisters, Muriel Eslin and Gloria Smith.
She enjoyed her yearly trips to Maine and Vermont, camping, puzzle books and her favorite TV shows.  She loved being visited by her family and friends and playing bingo.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mildred’s family from 11 a.m.to 12 noon on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, followed by a funeral service honoring her life at 12 noon. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton.
