LUNENBURG - Michael J. Santora II Esq., 63, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at home. Born in Worcester, Michael lived in Lunenburg his entire life.
Michael graduated from Notre Dame High School in Fitchburg and received his undergraduate degree from Assumption College in Worcester. He continued his education when he received a scholarship to and attended the prestigious School of Economics in London. Upon graduating from the School of Economics in London, Michael earned his Law Degree from Suffolk Law School in Boston.
Michael passed the Massachusetts Bar and practiced Law on and off for more than 40 years. During this same period, Michael’s love for antiquities, their origin, and value to society took him throughout the world in pursuit of knowledge and world treasures. For the past 30 + years, Michael practiced and was well known as an international antique expert and consultant.
Michael was especially gifted with patience and understanding, respecting everyone and commanding respect from everyone who knew him. He will be missed by his loving mother with whom he lived, Beverly G. (Abdow) Santora; his aunt, Brenda Jean Pandiscio; and his cousin, Matthew M. Pandiscio, all of Lunenburg in addition to his family, friends and colleagues.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Michael’s family on Wednesday, December 28, from 4-6 PM in the St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester followed by the funeral service at 6:00 PM. officiated by His Grace, Bishop John Abdalah. A private Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Michael’s memory be made to St. George Orthodox Cathedral Endowment Fund, 30 Anna Street, Worcester 01604.
